At midnight tonight on the west coast we officially made it into SiTV's JAMMIN Top 15, which means that they'll choose the best six bands to be flown out to LA to compete on national TV. We're in the mix! Check back for results!

Our video for La Llorona made the Best Austin Music Moments Of 2007 list. We're No. 3 on the list, along with Maneja Beto, Grupo Fantasma, Vallejo, and other great local bands.

We made our second appearance on the FOX 7 Morning Show today. We were asked to write an original Christmas song that they could play in rotation on Christmas morning, so we stepped up to the task and wrote The Tamale Song (about the chaotic stress of Christmas when all that really matters is tamales on Christmas day!). The taping went off well, and we're eager to catch it on Christmas Day.

Our video for La Llorona is officially finished tonight, and we hope to have it dumped down to DVD and ready for airplay by this weekend. You can see it now on our MySpace page.

This weekend we finished our video shoot for La Llorona. It was shot in and around Austin, and there were some shots done in Columbus, Texas, too. Everything looked good, we're excited.

We recorded three new songs this weekend at Music Lane. The songs were La Llorona, Running, and El Fuego Dentro. Everything turned out really well, and soon we'll be taking this to get mastered at Terra Nova. We have video plans in the works already for La Llorona, and we're considering the possibility of a video for El Fuego Dentro, too.

Tonight we play our first show with our new bassist, Carlos Cantu. Carlos is a great fit to Frenetica, and we're really excited to have him.

Timo will be out of the band later this month, and we'll likely remain a four-piece. We're still working on that video concept for Basta, and we are on the verge of going into the studio once again. The goal is to have some new material recorded by the end of summer. The songs on this session will be new ones, including La Llorona, Running, No Sleep, Putiando, and El Fuego Dentro. We would like to have a video for La Llorona prepared by the beginning of fall.

We have gone through many lineup changes over the past year, but we now have a steady lineup...finally! It seemed as soon as we were settled on a lineup, something changed, and we were back to square one, but we've overcome all that and are better than ever. We have several shows lined up for this spring, and we're looking to play out even more over the summer. We just might play your town!
We've been very interested in filming a video for Basta, and we're now looking at taking a couple of weeks in May to actually make this happen. We've got good ideas for it and some good people behind it, so we'll see how it goes! More news as it comes...

Our debut CD was released today, and we're really pleased with it. It's called SkitzoFrenetica, and it has 11 songs. For more information, go HERE.
We're in the process of scheming a video for Basta, and if things go well, we'll have one for Gleam as well.
